Item Description
7.25x9.75x1" deep cardboard box w/nicely illustrated lid contains complete parts for game made in England by The Spear Works, 1920s. Lid has "Chasing Charlie" name on all four side panels and main lid panel features great illustration of Chaplin in his iconic Little Tramp persona running away from 1920s convertible speeding towards him. Lid has some scattered handling wear and even aging w/slight inward warp but no splits. Box bottom has partial corner split and rust to staples. Box is Fine overall. Game contents include 8-5/8x12" paper gameboard mounted on cardboard (as issued) featuring many comical illustrations of Chaplin and comes w/original cardboard dice shaker tube and plastic playing pieces and die sealed in original cellophane bag. Scattered wear to gameboard as folded w/some rippling to surface paper, but bright, glossy and VF overall. Rare, especially w/unused/sealed contents.
