Item Description
Each in this set is a 13/16" litho packaged one per cereal box in 1943 and created by legendary "Premium King" Sam Gold. Inks used were susceptible to chipping and the gloss finish was a magnet for dust so most examples today are Good to VG. Most in this group are Fine to Exc. We've arranged the buttons to show the eight missing from the set. The full listing is in Hake's Buttons In Sets. Missing from the group are 34th, 56th, 96th, 385th, 424th, 431st all designated Bombardment squadron. The other two are Navy Stagron-14 and Navy Torpedo Squadron-32. The buttons missing are not particularly rare and it would be relatively easy to complete the set. Overall much above average condition. See following related insignia buttons.
