Item Description
Pair of 10x12" sheets of animation paper featuring art produced for the 1937 Silly Symphony animated cartoon "Little Hiawatha." First is angled blocked 7x11.25" publicity art in lead/red pencil depicting Little Hiawatha running away from various forest animals in fright. Art is attributed to Manuel Gonzales and features lead pencil sketch of woman's face at bottom right in addition to Little Hiawatha art. Paper tape at top left corner and sheet is lightly aged but art is Exc. Second sheet features 3.5x5" production drawing in lead pencil w/red/green pencil accents. Art depicts nearly full body image of Little Hiawatha w/bow and arrow, looking over his shoulder in anger at small rabbit w/tiny bow and arrow, who looks up at him w/sad look. Lower right has small scale and "92" number in blue pencil. Sheet has two vertical creases (and faint horizontal crease) and 3/8x1" and 3/8x1.25" pieces missing at bottom punched holes. Sheet is VG, but art remains Exc.
