Item Description
Badges are 1.5" to 2" tall and the card is 3-5/8" wide. First badge names one of radio's early detective programs with title "Detectives Black & Blue" with sponsor name below "Folger's Coffee." Bright flashing is gone but surfaces are clean and all the black accent paint intact. Next are a pair of badges from the newspaper promoted Post's Cereals Junior Detective Club. One for rank of "Detective" in silver luster and NM while second is in brass luster, about 50% complete, for "Lieutenant." Next is from famous radio show "Gang Busters" with small text above naming producer Phillips H. Lord. Tiny luster wear but Exc. Next is rare card for the "Dan Dunn Detective Corps/Secret Operative 48" and signed in ink. Card names "The Chattanooga News." Reverse has two tiny indents causing a very slight mark on the front. Couple of tiny creases barely seen but overall clean and VF. Last is badge naming "Special Counter Spy Junior Agent." Serial number on bottom edge beneath the clear plastic covering over a portrait showing Counter-Spy David Harding although the portrait no longer glows in the dark. Nice brass luster on the piece. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection. Comes with COA.
