Item Description
From the 1940s and likely a store purchased item. Ring has solid band and is made of heavy metal. This version has an all over silver luster finish. See following item for a variety. The ring sides show overlapping boxing gloves. On the inner surface of the band, originals like this one, have a sharply incised arrow design running horizontally through a letter "U", the trademark of the ring maker Uncas. We've seen silver finish reproductions and on those the Uncas trademark is crudely hand-engraved and not deeply incised. A perfectly smooth and tiny original cut line by a jeweler appears at the very base of the circular band apparently to make this ring somewhat smaller than it originally was. As currently sized it is a ring size #6. The ring has essentially Mint silver luster with just a little scattered tarnish mostly on the interior surfaces. Quite scarce and we've seen only about a half dozen.
