Item Description
Same design and issue as our previous item but this ring originally had an all over brass wash. This thin brass color is mostly gone from the lower narrow prongs but remains nearly intact on the upper half and top oval raised portrait of Louis. While the upper half has golden brass color to it upon magnification there is a little silvery tone mixed in but really not seen without magnification. While this ring is an original it was sized by a jeweler with a small piece inserted at the very bottom of the ring band. In doing so the jeweler remove the Uncas trademark letter "U" and arrow symbol. The addition of an 1/8" piece of perfectly smooth metal at the bottom of the band expanded the size of the ring to its current ring size #10. Other than the partial loss of brass finish on the lower narrow bands the upper half displays glossy and NM. We consider this the slightly scarcer of two varieties.
