Item Description
12-5/8x12.75" stiff artboard and 18x24" thin artboard feature stunning original pen and ink art by Doug Brown, see previous item #1855. Art offered here was unpublished. Smaller artboard features profile image of Frankenstein's Monster laying on table as two doctors and brutish assistant look on. Art has been signed on stairs in bkg. Margins have staining, not affecting art, which remains Exc. Larger artboard features tall image of clawed Frankenstein Monster holding flaming torch and large blank sheet. Likely designed as title/splash page, w/text/credits meant to be placed in blank area. Art has been signed at upper right, above Frankenstein's hand. Nice ink wash accents to smokey bkg. Right margin shows moderate wear w/several small tears/creases. 1" tear at top right, 1.5" tear at bottom right. VG overall, but art remains clean and VF/Exc.
