Pair of posters for concerts headlined by The Dinosaurs, a Bay Area supergroup to emerge from the psychedelic music era of San Francisco. The core group consisted members of Big Brother and the Holding Company, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead, Country Joe and The Fish and The Saunders-Garcia Band. Over time, other prominent San Francisco musicians would guest star w/the band. Offered here is 16.25x23.25" poster for July 16, 1983 concert that took place at Starry Night in Portland, OR. Art by Alton Kelley features large photo image of saber-tooth tiger fossilized skull set against bright colors and psychedelic lettering. Poster has handling wear w/heavy creases at bottom half and corner creases, but these do not break surface color. Pinhole at bottom right. Fine overall. Second poster measures 14x14" and is for Sept. 20, 1986 concert that took place at Wolfgang's in Columbus, San Francisco, CA. and featured The Dinosaurs along w/Slik & The San Francisco Ninja Society. Art by Alton Kelley features cartoon image of dinosaur at center set against Japanese design w/crossed samurai swords. Corner tip wear including some creasing and scattered handling wear.
