Item Description
Pair of concert poster for concerts that took place at the Western Front Dance Academy, a short-lived club that was located in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco, CA. First is 13x22-5/8" original first printing poster for Oct. 13-14, 1967 concerts that featured Morning Glory and Indian Head Band. Poster art by John Thompson features Native American brave and nude native woman at lower right w/several infants. Slight smudge to purple border area at upper left but o/w NM. Second poster is 13.75x23" original first printing and scarcer/much more desirable variety on red stock rather than tan. For Oct. 27-28, 1967 concerts that featured The Charlatans, Triple AAA and Frumious Bandersnatch. Art by Stanley Mouse features silver print photo image of dwarf Victorian woman in gown w/tiny button on her chest reading "Fuck." Printed by The Bindweed Press. Scattered corner tip/handling wear w/numerous lt. creases at upper right. VF.
