Addressed to Dushore, PA. recipient. We believe the writing was done by Yellow Kid artist/creator R.F. Outcault himself. Box contains four 4x4x7/8" thick wood blocks w/zinc plate covered by top surface in copper finish. Comes w/four 7.75x11.75" bw sheets of slick paper w/4x6.75" image and text area of art showing Yellow Kid in different situations w/hardware and text to match scene. Bottom of text on each page reads "Blank Hardware Co.," indicating area for hardware company imprint. Products advertised include heating stoves, cook stoves, cutlery and window glass. Captions on Yellow Kid's shirt read "Lets Warm Up, Come And See" and "I Am Going To Cut A Dash." Glass page has no text on Yellow Kid's shirt. Top of each sheet (w/exception of glass sheet) has suggested date for use and is numbered. Outcault's name and copyright appear at bottom of each illustration. Proof sheets have two horizontal folds as issued. Some lt. scattered aging but overall proof sheets and printer blocks are NM. Box remains sturdy w/moderate surface dust/aging. Fine. Rare w/box.
