Item Description
Pair of 6.5x8.5" vintage International News Photo news service photos, both featuring Walt Disney. First photo shows Disney at a dinner w/Will Rogers. Back has "International News Photo" stamp and Sept. 30, 1933 stamped date. Photo shows moderate handling wear w/lower left corner clipped and emulsion crazing. VG. Second photo shows Disney in tuxedo receiving large, one-piece display consisting of a full size Oscar and seven miniature Oscars from smiling Shirley Temple. Reverse side has applied "International News Photo" typed paper caption titled "Shirley Temple Gives 'Academy Awards' Trophies To Walt Disney For '7 Dwarfs'" w/Feb. 24, 1939 date and other stamped 1939 dates on reverse. Photo shows moderate handling wear w/creases and .5" sliver off right center margin and corner tip wear. Photo surface has some small scattered spots of emulsion off. VG. Both features various publication notations on reverses as photos were re-used over the years.
