Large 3-3/8" dia. pinback button features large art image of popular horror host Zacherly. 1963. Rim text reads "© Zacherly Lic. Sid Rubin Enterprises - Mfg. Imrint Art." Zacherly, portrayed by John Zacherle on WCAU-TV Channel 10 as host of "Shock Theater" from Oct. 7, 1957 to Sept. 13, 1958. Dick Clark supposedly gave Zacherle the nickname "The Cool Ghoul." In 1958, Zacherle cut "Dinner With Drac" for Cameo Records and moved to New York City television where his shows included the 1960s Chiller Theatre on WPIX. Text on button reads "Vote For Zacherly" and a skull appears over his shoulder. Back has some scattered oxidation but front remains bright and glossy and displays Exc. A green color variety of this button was also produced. Both are very rare and this is the first example of this button we've offered in our 48 years.
