Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 8.25" long tin litho car w/three-dimensional tin litho robot driver and "Atomic Gun" on hood. Made in Japan by Ashitoy, 1950s. This is red color variety w/o "Space Patrol" name on both sides of car or "R3" numerals on trunk. This is sparking version (though no longer sparks). Plated grille w/Mercedes symbol. All four hubcaps are present. Car retains original interior including steering wheel, windshield w/original plastic. Toy friction action works and produces noise. Windshield frame has some aging but o/w car appears unused. Exc. Box shows handling wear w/creasing and surface paper rubs along edges/corners and has all over fade. Good/VG.
