8.25x13.25x1-3/8" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains actual alarm kit that's "Practical - More Than A Toy - Complete With Batteries And Wire." The E.A.M. Corporation of Brooklyn, NY. © Chicago Tribune - New York News Syndicate. 1930s. Box lid features great image of Dick Tracy Jr. handing Dick Tracy this set as he shines a flashlight on criminal being apprehended by policeman. Additional images shows Dick Tracy Jr. being awakened by alarm and burglar looking through window w/alarm set up. Missing generic buzzer unit and two batteries, o/w complete w/extra parts and several "Dick Tracy Burglar Alarm" string tags w/image of Tracy on them. Box insert has illustrations showing kit set up and comes w/illustrated instruction booklet as well. Parts are Exc. Booklet has lt. handling but is VF/Exc. Box lid shows corner tip/edge wear w/some scattered aging but box remains free of any splits. .5" tear on right side panel of lid. Fine overall. Rare and first we've seen in our 48 years.
