22x30-5/8" thin cardboard poster for July 7, 1968 concert that took place at Carr's Beach in Annapolis, MD. that featured Shorty Long, a soul singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer for Motown's Soul Records imprint. His big hit was "Here Comes The Judge" in 1968. Sadly, Long died at the age of 29 the following year. Long is pictured at the piano in a photo on the poster w/his name in large letters. Concert also featured Chet Ivey and His Fabulous Avengers, Ivey is featured in photo at bottom center. Poster is evenly aged and has some scattered wear w/.25" hole at top right from posting and 1.25" triangular piece missing from upper left area. Similar 1" piece missing along lower right margin. Bottom corners have staple holes. VG, but would look great framed. Scarce poster.
