Auction #214 - Part II
Item numbers 1008 through 2793 in auction 214
Item Description
Complete basic set of 12 pieces, measuring between 1" and 4.5" tall, each w/original boxes and packing material. Made by GEM Clay Forming Company for distribution by both sponsors of the Tarzan radio show and others. 1932. Basic Fould's set of 10 includes Tarzan w/Cheeta (this is first version w/o name on base), Kala holding baby Tarzan, Jane Porter, Numa the Lion, Sheeta the Panther, Witch Doctor, Pirate w/treasure chest, Lt. D'Arnot, Cannibal Warrior and monkey trio (which were counted as a single item and shipped in same box). All but monkey trio statues have been painted by original owner and are very nicely done and detailed. Statues have some scattered lt. aging/dust soiling but are VF-Exc. overall. Seven of the ten boxes have matching typed addresses. Boxes have scattered wear from shipping and moderate aging (more noticeable on address labels) and are VG-Fine overall. These figures are scarce individually w/boxes and the full set w/boxes is very rare. This is the second complete boxed example of these statues we've offered in our 48 years. See Jungle Land stage #2154.
