Item Description
Lot of 19 felt pennants w/printed photo images of various Allied commanders and generals of World War I. Each pennant measures 6" long and all were issued by Ferguson's Bakery in 1916 (the same year they released a baseball stars series). Pennants were issued on blue, pink and lavender felt. Included are - (USA) - Gen. Pershing, Admiral Sims, Gen. Bullard, Admiral Benson, Secretary of the Navy Daniels, Secretary of the Treasury McAdoo; (Great Britain) - King George, Gen. Byng, Herbert Asquith, Gen. Plummer; (France) - Gen. Fayolle, Marshall Petain, Gen. Barthelot, Gen. Mangin; (Italy) Gen. Diaz (2); (Canada) Gen. Alderson (2) and Gen. Carson. 14 of the 19 have small hole punched at upper right. Varying degrees of aging to felt and creasing to photo images. Fine to Exc. Scarce series.
