Item Description
Nice quality 10" long metal (copper finish variety) gun by Daisy Manufacturing Company. 1935. Gun features same basic design as Daisy's later U-235 and U-238 (see item #2486) Buck Rogers pistols, but this is marked "Disintegrator" on left side w/"Buck Rogers - 25th Century" name and small Buck Rogers image incised above grip. This copper finish was used only on the XZ-38. Has pair of moderately aged plastic windows from which a spark was visible when trigger is pulled. Gun produces a loud pop firing sound, but no longer sparks as flint is missing as is typical. Top of gun is also missing small screw. Scattered lt. aging/wear to copper finish w/noticeable wear to left side of barrel. Barrel nozzle and barrel accents rings have scattered oxidation. VG overall. Comes w/pair of vintage ads for other Buck Rogers Daisy items, including "The Open Road For Boys" magazine cover w/back cover ad for "Buck Rogers Rocket Pistol" and double-sided Daisy sheet w/images/text about "Buck Rogers Rocket Pistol," matching holster, "Combat Set" and "Interplanetary Navigation Helmet." Both shows handling wear/aging and are Fine overall.
