Item Description
Large 31" tall wooden root beer barrel w/26" dia. has metal bands and metal tub lining w/two metal taps w/plastic knob handles. Each has "Syrup Gauge" text on metal portions and interior of barrel has piping and tubes for dispensing. 1940s. Wooden-handled metal lid w/plastic rim sits on top. Rim has all over aging w/sticky surface. Underside of lid has moderate oxidation. VG. Exterior of barrel has large decal labels for various soft drinks this root beer barrel was re-purposed over the years to dispense. Companies/beverages include - two decals for Frostie Root Beer, Pepsi-Cola (w/"Say 'Pepsi' Please" slogan), Canada Dry Cola and two additional decals for Pepsi-Cola (w/bottle cap design and "Have A Pepsi" text), one of which appears to mostly cover another indistinguishable decal while the other mostly covers two other indistinguishable decals. Scattered aging/wear. Fine overall. Due to size and weight, the shipping charges (depending on location and method of shipping) may be substantial.
