4.75" long plastic/metal pen from a two-piece pen and pencil boxed set by Windsor, early 1940s. Fountain pen w/screw-on cap has clip w/incised "Superman" name and pen tip is marked "14K." .75" tall full body color decal of Superman in classic pose w/hands on hips. He stands underneath "Superman" comic book title logo. Decal has a few tiny flakes, but 95% complete. These pens came in a variety of colors, this example being green. The only boxed pen/pencil set we've offered in our 48 years sold in our last auction for a record price of $4,174. A rare 1940s Superman item.
