Item Description
Well made 4.5x4.75x1.75" high hinged case w/Trylon and Perisphere image on lid. Gold luster trim to top/bottom edges. Scattered wear to outside case top and more moderate wear to leatherette/canvas snap strap. Inside case lid reads "Remington Close Shaver - Made In USA." Case is Fine overall. Velvet-covered insert holds 4.25" electric razor w/image and text reading "New York World's Fair - 1939 - Electric Products Building - Remington Rand Hall." Razor shows lt. aging/wear. Missing cord but comes w/blade cover. The first electric razor was made in 1928, the first Remington in 1937, making this an early Remington example. VF overall. Scarce NYWF item.
