Item Description
33.5x26.5". Professionally framed with photograph of bearded Lincoln and post card with famous quote. 18x15.25" opening for partly printed and Civil War dated document signed as president May 21, 1861. Lincoln appoints William S. Edgar as a "Surgeon". Signed boldly at conclusion by Lincoln. Five horizontal folds and one vertical fold at center. One horizontal fold flirts with the top of signature. Overall extremely clean with only minor wear at fold junctions. Among the earliest Civil War appointments. Rare. NM. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
