Item Description
Pair of nickel plated cast iron cap guns by The J&E Stevens Co. Each was produced in 1940 and comes in original illustrated cardboard box. Gold finish cast iron "Stevens 49-ER" features hammerless design w/revolving cylinder. Ivory plastic cowboy/covered wagon grips w/red plastic accent stones. Grips have shrunk a bit w/age and gun shows lt. use. VF/Exc. Box has moderate edge/corner tip wear and is Fine. Nickel-plated cast iron "Steven Peacemaker Repeating Toy Pistol" features raised "Peacemaker" name on left side between grip and bullet chamber and ivory plastic cowboy and crossed guns/horsehead grips. Scattered lt. wear from use, but displays Exc. Box shows wear and has color photocopy replacement end flap and has been shrink-wrapped. Still nice for display.
