Item Description
Pair of stuffed dolls depicting Howdy Doody's clown companion Clarabell. Both 1950s. First is 9" tall beanbag doll w/terry cloth pants, fabric shirt (w/"Clarabell" name printed on it) and soft vinyl head. Scattered aging but VF overall. Second is 19.5" tall doll by Ideal. Complete w/2.25x3.5x2" deep cardboard box that once held horn. Box has "Howdy Doody's Clarabell" and Ideal Toy Corp. names as well as Kagran copyright. Vinyl belt. Cloth-stuffed body w/felt feet and hands, nice quality satin-like outfit (red/yellow color variety) and collar, molded thin plastic face and plush cloth head w/string hair accents. Cardboard box shows even aging but doll remains clean and VF overall w/just a few lt. spots of staining on collar and paint rub to nose/cheek. Rare variety and only the second example we've offered in our 48 years.
