Item Description
5.5x11.75x1.5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains latex rubber item intended for use as a bedtime hot water bottle. Molded rubber latex piece is 5x10". Bottom has "Seiberling Latex Prod. Co." name. 1930s. Bottle is attached to box bottom but front/back show obvious wear/aging as boxed, w/latex bottle having 3.25" split below figural Mickey Mouse's neck w/1.25" piece loose. Some areas are still pliable and overall bottle is still displayable as is. Due to typical aging and fragile nature, these are very rare in any condition and we have only offered a couple other examples in our 48 years. Box lid features great illustration of Mickey and Nephew watching Pluto play w/jumping rabbit toy. Additional images of Nephews decorate lid. End panel has "Infant Mickey Mouse Baby Bottle" label w/catalog number, color and Seiberling name. Box has slightest fade and has color touch-ups at corners and along edges. Scattered creasing at lid corners but box is free of splits and is still tight. Box displays Fine overall. From the Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
