Interesting lot of items by the Kilgore Manufacturing Co. c. 1935. 8" long Bubble Buster gun comes in its original illustrated cardboard box. Box is missing all flaps from one end, other end is taped w/scattered wear/aging. Good/VG. Metal gun has barrel covered by "Mickey Mouse Bubble Buster" paper label w/full body Mickey image and end cap has worn full body Mickey decal on one side. Cap was to be removed and .75" dia. rubber Bubblet was to be attached. When handle was pumped, it in turn caused the Bubblet to expand and pop. Paper label has scattered trace of spotting caused by the adhesive reverse and wear along seam. Mickey decal shows moderate wear w/flaking. VG/Fine. Comes w/2.25x3.5x.75" deep illustrated cardboard Bubblets box. Each originally contained thin rubber sheet w/48 Bubblets. Box still contains the original sheets although they have hardened and have degraded over the years and cannot be removed. Box has scattered trace of aging. VF. Comes w/typed letter on "The Kilgore Mfg. Company" letterhead dated Sept. 20, 1935 and addressed to "Toy Buyer" at Bennigton, VT. store. Folded as mailed and signed in ink by Kilgore sales representative. Exc. Last item is rare 9.25x11" single-sided sales sheet that was enclosed w/letter, showing the Bubble Buster gun and Bubblets sheet. Sheet has total of three small Mickey Mouse images and is folded as mailed. VF.
