Item Description
Set is comprised of 12-3/8" tall glazed ceramic handled pitcher and six matching 5-1/8" tall handled mugs. Each has been decorated in gradated purple hues, w/central image of large bull elk w/Roman style clock face underneath "BPOE" initials between its antlers, clock hands pointing to 11 o'clock, a reference to The Elks club 11th Hour Toast to absent members, living or dead. Unmarked but designed by the W.M. Tatler Decorating Co. of Trenton, NJ. c. 1910-1920. Pitcher and mugs have some scattered lt. wear in the form of small nicks/scratches but remain free of any breaks and are VF/Exc. overall. Nice set issued for the popular American fraternal order and social club founded in 1868.
