5" tall (8.25" tall to top of upright handle) tin litho sand pail by Happynak. © King Features Syndicate, 1930s. Pail has reverse "British Made" embossed text on underside. Pail features great scene of Popeye in fight, imploring Olive Oyl to hurry w/can of spinach w/word balloon reading "Hurry Wit' Me Spinach, Olive, I Yam Gettin' Weak" to which Olive replies "Coming Popeye!" Eugene the Jeep stands on stool and says "Jeep" as Swee'Pea crawls below and says "Glop." Wimpy sits on sideline w/Poopdeck Pappy, word balloon reading "I'll Have Two Hamburgers." Interior of pail and handle show obvious wear and exterior has much lesser degree of wear w/some small nicks/scratches and scattered spider-webbing. Pail exterior is still bright and glossy.
