Item Description
5-5/8" tall (8.25" tall to top of upright handle) tin litho sand pail by Ohio Art. 1930s. These pails were produced in both embossed and non-embossed varieties. This is non-embossed variety. Pail features great beach scene w/Donald Duck laughing as he watches Goofy dunk Pluto under water. Mickey Mouse's Nephews run by w/harpoon. Pail has some lt. even aging but is bright and glossy and Exc. About as nice as these 1930s sand pails come. From the Doug & Pat Wengel Collection and this is the actual example shown in their book "Comic Character Metal Sand Toys."
