Large 8.5" tall (14" tall to top of upright handle) tin litho sand pail made in France, mid-1930s. Pail is marked "EGDA" and has "Par Aut. Walt Disney - Mickey Mouse S.A." text. Pail features two repeated scenes depicting Mickey Mouse playing concertina while standing atop large drum as Minnie Mouse dances. Images are nicely embossed. Minor dent to top rim w/scattered moderate wear/oxidation to interior. Exterior has .25" spot of discoloration above one of Minnie's heads. Rest of exterior has some scattered nicks/scratches but remains bright and glossy w/vibrant color. Fine overall. In the book "Comic Character Metal Sand Toys" by Doug and Pat Wengel, they note that this is perhaps the finest Disney sand pail ever produced, a sentiment we share.
