Item Description
8.5x10-7/8" newspaper premium picture from 1948. Picture features art of "The Real Pluton" by artist Rick Yager, who took over "Buck Rogers" art duties from Dick Calkins in 1933. This premium was obtained by readers mailing in their own concept drawing of what they thought a Pluton looked like. Large and wild-eye Pluton dominates picture, w/Buck Rogers and Dr. Huer in bkg. w/part of rocketship visible. Picture has vertical fold at center and three horizontal folds, but remains clean and VF overall. Rare.
