Item Description
Lot of three items relating to "Howdy Doody's 'Pal' Windy" the dog. All 1950s. First is 8.75x11.5" ad sheet featuring image of Howdy Doody as well as images of "Windy, The Dog" and "Zippy, The Chimp" plush toys by The Rushton Company/Atlanta Playthings Co. Pair of staple holes along left as removed from publication but o/w Exc. Remaining items in lot are two size varieties of Rushton's Windy plushes. First is 10.5" long and 8.5" tall and is complete w/"Howdy Doody" printed sailor's cap. Soft vinyl mouth/nose piece and plastic eyes. Felt paw pads show heavy wear w/insect damage. VG. Comes w/worn die-cut tag w/images of both Howdy Doody and Windy. Top of tag torn w/several creases. Good/VG. Last is larger 14.5" tall size, complete w/"Howdy Doody" printed sailor's cap. Soft vinyl mouth/nose piece and plastic eyes w/additional floppy hair over eyes. Scattered insect damage to felt paw pads and aging/dust soiling to fur. Hat has slight fade/aging. VG. This larger size is rare.
