Item Description
26-7/8x41" one-sheet movie poster for the original 1956 release of the American release of Toho's "Gojira," re-cut and re-titled "Godzilla: King Of The Monsters" for American audiences. Poster is dominated by classic image of Godzilla destroying city as people flee in foreground. Poster has been folded as issued and shows moderate wear. Fold crease intersections show wear w/.5" to .75" tears w/.25x.5" hole at bottom fold creases intersection and creasing along fold lines. Margins show obvious wear w/scattered tears and aged tape strips/tape staining and lower right has 1.25" strip of surface paper lift from tape. Upper right corner has two 1/8" holes. Lower left has 3-5/8x5" piece torn out and repaired w/archival tape of reverse. .5" chip at bottom of this area. Good/VG, but would mat and frame for a nice appearance. Scarce poster.
