22x28" half-sheet poster from the original 1958 American DCA release of the Japanese tokusatsu film "Half Human," originally produced and released by Toho Film Productions Ltd. in 1955. The film was made by Toho's Godzilla production team, consisting of Ishiro Honda, Eiji Tsuburaya and Tomoyuki Tanaka. This was director Honda's second assignment in the kaiju genre, after 1954's "Godzilla." As w/that film, "Half Human" had an American version cobbled together, added extensive new scenes starring John Carradine and featuring Morris Ankrum and two lesser-known American actors, and the entire soundtrack was replaced w/American stock music cues, sound-effects, and voice-over narration by Carradine replacing all dialogue in the Japanese scenes. Poster has been folded into quarters and shows scattered margin wear, w/pinholes and a few .25" tears. Bottom right has 1" sliver off. Fine overall, but would look nice framed.
