Lot of three 10x12" sheets of animation paper featuring concept work for the 1941 animated film. First sheet is marked "12" at upper right and has original concept art depicting a rear view of Dumbo wearing his clown hat and collar. Image area measures 6x6.5" and was done in grease pencil w/watercolor detailing. Small "30-4-39" date appears at lower right, noting concept work being worked on well in advance on the 1941 film. Sheet has some lt. handling wear/aging w/.25x.5" spot of watercoloring along top margin and some scattered smudging, but art displays VF. Second sheet shows six small full body rough images of Dumbo's Mother and head portrait as well. Two images clearly show her in chains and one shows Dumbo's little head poking out from between her back legs. Last sheet features a number of rough pencil sketches w/two more fully realized images showing Dumbo standing outside of his mother's jail cell, tears running down her trunk on one. Sheets are lightly aged and have some scattered handling wear but most art remains VF.
