41x79.25" three-sheet poster for original release of the 1940 Republic movie serial loosely based on the novel by Sax Rohmer, starring Henry Brandon, William Royle and Robert Kellard. Directed by the legendary serial team of William Witney and John English, it is often considered one of the best movie serials ever made. Poster is covered w/great graphics that include Fu Manchu as dragon and action scenes from the serial, including great shoot-out scene at bottom between Fu Manchu and male/female lead. Poster was issued in two pieces, w/top third slightly off-center as printed, but graphics/text line up. Poster has horizontal and vertical folds as issued w/scattered color touch-ups/restoration along fold lines/fold intersections. These touch-ups blend for the most part and faces and other main images are mostly unaffected. Fine overall, but main image area retains bright, bold color and would mat and frame for a nice display. Very rare and the first we've offered in our 48 years.
