Item Description
9" long translucent hard plastic pistol that was molded using the same design as The Lone Ranger Flashlight Pistol w/engraved detailing to left side on barrel and area around bullet chamber, w/painted details on bullet chamber and raised steerhead/horsehead grips. Water plug on top. Tiny engraved "Plainsman" name above trigger on left side. Working trigger. Trigger guard has attached string tag w/faint text reading "Model No. 1795 - Water Pistol - Partially Engraved By Eerie" and has hand-painted "Mod. #1795 - 8-17-51 - Girard, PA." text on base of grips, indicating this prototype was made in Girard, PA. 1951. Plastic has some scattered aging/wear and painted accents shows lt. wear. VF overall. Gun comes w/3.5x7.75" hard plastic holster pocket that has been extensively engraved, revealing a wonderful Western flower design. Back has two slots for use w/belt. Back of holster has hand painted "Erie X-1714" text. .25x.75" area of noticeable aging to plastic but o/w Fine/VF. This gun/holster was ultimately unproduced. From the John Bowers Collection.
