Item Description
7.5" tall tin litho toy w/built-in key. By Nifty, Germany and copyright 1922 by Fontaine Fox. Box label has name of distributor "Geo. Borgfeldt." Box lid worn with soiling/staining to the label, top/bottom side panels are missing. Good. Box bottom remains tight, Fine. Nicely designed toy includes diecut tin figure of the Skipper. Toy works and it travels forward in a rocking motion. Trolley then stops and shakes slightly as the Skipper turns the controller before it continues on its way. Scattered aging of the paint and scattered small paint nicks. VF. Still a very nice example of this classic early comic character wind-up.
