Item Description
Elaborate 9" long tin litho toy featuring Joe Palooka's friend and © Ham Fisher. 1950s. Two box panels include comic strip reprint of Humphrey and his unusual vehicle. Box has moderate scattered edge wear, one side panel has pair of ink stamp letters. Fine. Toy has built-in key and works. Travels around as Humphrey waves his right arm, his hat moves, legs move as if he is peddling. Body of the vehicle is designed as a small wooden house and has a door on back which opens. Complete w/small plastic stove pipe on roof which is usually missing. However, this pipe is bent over a bit but still firmly attached. Toy has widely scattered tiny paint nicks/scratches but remains totally bright and glossy. VF.
