Item Description
The companion Shadow Club stamp to this rare pulp premium was only offered by publisher Street & Smith April 1 to the end of August 1934, and we assume this Doc Savage stamp was offered around the same time, which accounts for its rarity. It consists of a 1x1x1.25" tall wooden handle w/curved sides for easy grasping. Underside has rubber stamp bearing the logo of "Doc Savage Club" w/large "Member" text across top. Stamp produces a complete ink stamp as shown in our photo. VF/Exc. Rare. We believe this is the only example of this rare stamp we've offered in our 48 years, and this example is the photo example pictured in Ted Hake's "Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" book.
