Item Description
Sizes are 2” to 2.5” tall. First with flag design is enamel on brass from 1896. Second with their names on a pennant design in silvered brass is also from 1896. Metal areas are dark and some dark blue background paint on the pennant is gone with about 50% remaining. Next is celluloid oval from 1908. NM. Last is a rare 1908 stickpin also issued as a pin back button. White background has taken on an even tan tone but there is no spotting. Also, cello has long crack across the center and cello, while firmly attached to the pin, swivels rather than being fixed in place. Pictured are Bryan and multiple ears of corn with text “The Nation’s Commoner/Two Of America’s Great Essentials/To Peace And Prosperity.” Brass back carries text “Design Patent 1908/Funkhouser And Cole/Lincoln, Neb.” A rarity that still displays well.
