Item Description
The button is unlisted in Hake and 1.25” with stained back paper from Reading Ribbon Badge Co. which includes a 1904 copyright date. Front reads “Republican Ward Workers Assn. Pottstown, Pa.” Much obvious stain but still full gloss and a rarity. Second item is a 2-5/8x3.5” stiff card with a little surface paper loss at top and a small piece off one corner. A slot on the card holds a red ribbon joined to an ornate brass frame 1-3/8” holding a 7/8” real photo sepia jugate celluloid. Barely visible without magnification at the top of the celluloid is the word “For.” Rest of the text is clear and reads “President Theodore Roosevelt/Vice President Charles Fairbanks.” Somehow in the making a small sliver of surface paper about 1/8” long came off the right side of the Fairbanks photo. This is beneath the celluloid and as made. All else is essentially Mint. Rare. Julie Powell Collection.
