Item Description
2.5” stickpin has die cut celluloid flag with the front bearing his portrait in blue tone plus text in red. A tiny portion of the letter “M” of “America” is without a dot of color, as made as this is under the celluloid, but otherwise the piece displays Mint as made. On the reverse the folded celluloid wrapping around the brass pin carries the name of the San Francisco maker “Irvine & Jachens.” Unlisted in Hake and with only a few known examples.
