8.5x11" letter w/Nov. 23, 1943 date and May Co. sponsor mark addressed to "Purchasing Agent" of Cal Aero Academy and notes the "Air-Mindedness" of the nation and notes price for this picture set. Signed by "Captain Jack." Letter is aged and has .5" corner crease and margin wear. Fine/VF. American Junior G-Man Club was for "Young Americans With American Ideals" and was organized in March 1937. Comes w/complete set of 24 8.5x11" double-sided paper sheets distributed individually on a weekly basis. c. early 1940s. Fronts have art by Ted Grohs (each w/facsimile signature) w/Junior G-Man badge pictured at lower left. Planes of note include - Curtis P-40E Warhawk, Consolidated B-24 Liberator, Lockheed P-38G Lightning, Curtiss Helldiver, Vought Sikorsky F4U-1 Corsair, Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress, Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat, Northrop N3PB-1 Patrol Bomber, North American P-51 Mustang, British Hawker Hurricane, Supermarine Spitfire, Boulton Paul Defiant, Avro Lancaster Heavy Bomber and more. Lower margin of each picture has "Keep 'Em Flying On Every American Battlefront" slogan. Planes are described on reverse. Scattered and varying degrees of handling wear/aging w/noticeable moisture staining to P-38 Lightning sheet, which is VG. Rest are Fine-VF overall. Scarce, the only complete set w/letter we've offered in our 48 years.
