This group begins with five 1.5” celluloid buttons. These are from the 1910 era. All show some wear with the last two having extensive crazing. The group then picks up with 1-3/8” litho tin buttons beginning in February 1925. With one exception it appears the other 93 buttons all reference “Division 241.” Each button has month and year. There is one button from 1925 and then between 1927 and 1948 there is one or more button for each year. Additional buttons represent 1950 through 1956 and the final ones are dated 1959, 1965, 1969, 1971 and 1973. Santa Claus is pictured on buttons from 1943, 1944, 1948, 1951, and 1952. About 20% have some small noticeable wear but vast majority are bright and clean. The most extensive collection we’ve ever seen.
