Item Description
First is 3” titled “Al’s Pals” and showing logo of “Skippy Peanut Butter” along with his facsimile signature and text noting his status as “1966 P.G.A. Champion.” His nickname was “Skippy” , apparently inspired by his sponsor’s name. White background has scattered light gray marks but button retains full gloss and color. Second is large 4” with cartoon of Palmer facing a battery of microphones with U.S. Capitol in the background. Rim text “Palmer For President/Endorsed By Golf Digest.” Button has no maker name. Circa 1980 and only the second we’ve seen. Among the best presidential spoof buttons and a great caricature of him. NM displaying Mint.
