Item Description
3.5” with covered metal back and horizontal pin. Parker was nicknamed “The Fast Freight From Mississippi State” and he was named to the 1953 College Football All-American Team. This button is likely from that year. A small hairline by his foot and dot on lower right edge were both surface dirt marks now removed. Parker went on to a successful career in Canadian football and was part of the Edmonton Eskimos dynasty of the mid 50’s where he was nicknamed “Ol’ Spaghetti Legs.” Rare and NM.
