Item Description
This is a 2-3/8x3-3/8” thick stiff celluloid card. Reverse lists “Athletics At Home 1929” schedule. The front shows logo and has text “American Base Ball Club Of Philadelphia/1929” followed by text “Extends To (hand inked name) Dr. C. Fred Rau The Courtesy Of Shibe Park.” Included is facsimile signature of Thomas Shibe who was the son of Ben Shibe who with Connie Mack built the park which opened in 1909. The Athletics made the World Series that year beating the Cubs in five games. Small traces of scattered wear but overall in VF condition. Pass has serial number “868.”
