Item Description
Large 15.25x24" release supplement to pressbook w/11 pages. For the original release of the 1934 MGM film starring Johnny Weissmuller in his second turn as Tarzan. Single-sided pages feature a vast assortment of "Tarzan And His Mate" tie-in items, premiums and advertising. Some highlights include - Tarzan sweaters and bathing suits, Tarzan Bread, ice cream, premium masks, paint books and puzzles, rubber novelties (hunting knife, hatchet, dagger and baseball), BLB, Coca-Cola (misspelled "Coco-Cola") serving trays and signs featuring Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O'Sullivan's images and much more. One page deals w/"Mary" the "Tarzan Rhino" and her traveling tour while other pages shows theaters and store Tarzan displays. Another page shows Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan books. Promotional theater material pictured includes - cut-outs, door hangers, lobby streamers as well as tie-ins w/boat/Johnson Sea-Horse Motor, Leica cameras and Ford V-8 automobile. Heavy horizontal fold at center as issued w/moderate margin wear, a 1.5" vertical tear at bottom center of front cover. Pages have some scattered handling wear/dust soiling. VG overall. Great Tarzan content. Rare.
