Trace of lt. wear but VF overall. c. 1960s. Allen's 15x16" high quality "Resistol Self-Conforming Western" personal hat made by Nudies of Hollywood is marked on inside brim "XXXXX Beaver." Silk lining has been nicely signed in ballpoint pen "To Glenn - My Friend - Always Rex Allen - 1959" and was given as a gift. Inside brim includes "Nudie's Rodeo Tailors, North Hollywood, Calif." gold stamped logo. Trace of lt. dust soiling, o/w Exc. Allen (1920-1999) was a Western cowboy star, singer and songwriter most noted for the song "Don't Go Near The Indians" which reached number 5 on Billboard magazine's Hot Country Singles chart in Nov., 1962.
